Cookies&Cream Cookies

Because who says you can't put cookies inside a cookie?
1 c. Butter, softened
2/3 c. White Sugar
2/3 c. Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
3 c. Flour
1-2 tbs. Milk
2-3 c. Crushed Oreos (to liking)
1 pkg. White Chocolate Chips

Crushing the Oreos is my favorite part of this. Have a bad day at work or school? Boyfriend being a jerk? It's surprising what smashing a bag of Oreos against a wall or with a meat mallet can do for you! Personally, I like it so that there are still some pretty big Oreo chunks but you can go as fine as you want. Add the Oreos into the dough along with the chocolate chips and mix by hand! Do it in the mixer and I find it just pulverizes everything.
On a greased baking sheet, make balls of dough about 1-1 1/2 inches wide. Note that these cookies don't spread out very much, so if you like your cookies large and flat, you better flatten them out before you bake them. Bake them for 10-12 minutes, until you can see a slightly brown ring around the bottoms. Depending on your cookie size makes about 3 dozen cookies.

This week the new Killers' album Battle Born was released so that's mainly what I've been listening to. Check out Flesh and Bone, Carry Me Home and Prize Fighter. I wouldn't say it's their number one album, but then again I can still never decide which one is my favorite. I also went to Rifflandia this past weekend, which is a 3 day music festival in Victoria, BC. I saw so many amazing shows including the Flaming Lips (pictured below) Jinja Safari (lead singer plays the sitar so it must be good!), the Jezabels, and the Dudes.
